My name is Gary Solberg and I live in Brooklyn, New York (Dyker Heights). I graduated with my bachelor’s degree from Brooklyn College and I also have my master’s degree in athletic coaching from North Central University. I have been teaching physical education for the past few years. I love teaching the youth in many different sports and it is important to teach the value of teamwork, sportsmanship and fair play in sports. It is also very important to have a good attitude even when you lose games. There will always be a another chance to do better. I try to teach that it is not just about winning it is about getting good exercise and enjoying what you do. I have a wonderful family including my mother Janice, my father Gary and my two brothers Andrew and Ryan. I must say that teaching is the best thing that I have decided to pursue in my life and I love to see the students grow. I love to see a smile on their which means that they are enjoying what they are doing. This makes me proud. I have a passion for teaching and I want to grow in this profession. I am proud to be apart of Good Shepherd Catholic Academy and I am looking forward to the coming years in this beautiful school.
